CHISPA BOARD OF DIRECTORS – 2021
Patty Padilla-Salsberg, Chair – is a Labor Relations Representative for the California School Employees Association. Patty is involved with the Salinas Valley Democratic Her previous board experience has been serving on the Salinas Union High School Board of Trustees, the Salinas Union High School Education Foundation, and on the ROP Regional Board. Patty is interested in expanding CHISPA’s youth activities and services.
Pfianna Cline, Vice Chair – is a Service Representative for TriCord Tradeshow Services and coordinates tradeshows for various industries. She is a volunteer dance instructor for the Police Activities League (PAL) and volunteers with the Salinas Airshow. She holds a real estate license and has completed three years of college.
Adoracion (Doris) Lopez, Secretary – is the Broker-Owner of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services- Real Time Realty, Inc. and is Broker-Owner of Real Property Management TriCounties. She is a member of the Monterey County Association of Realtors, the CA Association of Realtors, Orange County Association of Realtors, Women’s Council Association of Realtors, and Palma High School Athletic Council. She also is involved with Madonna Del Sasso, St. Paul Church.
Elsa Mendoza Jimenez, Treasurer – is the Director of Health Services in Monterey County, responsible for the administration of a wide array of health services delivered through its Health Department. Mrs. Jimenez has served in this capacity since 2016 years and has been with the Health Department since 2001 serving in a variety of administrative, programmatic and financial roles. Mrs. Jimenez was born and raised in South Monterey County and currently lives in North Monterey County with her husband and two daughters. She earned her Master of Public Health degree with a focus in Community Health Education from San Jose State University and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Santa Clara University. As a daughter of Mexican immigrant parents who made Monterey County their home, Ms. Mendoza Jimenez is extremely proud and humbled by the opportunity to be serving the residents of her County.
Hugo Alameda – is a blackberry supply manager at Driscoll’s, Inc. He is part of a team which provides input to and helps execute the five-year strategic supply plans for the company. Hugo graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a BS in Environmental Horticulture Science. In college, he was part of Cal Poly’s Latinos in Agriculture Club. He graduated from the Jack Welch Management Institute. Hugo grew up in Watsonville and now lives in Salinas. “To me, a home is a safety net that represents the sensation of peace, security, and stability. I feel that CHISPA’s mission achieves those feelings.”
Berkley Brannon – is the Chief Assistant District Attorney with the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office. He also is a professor at the Monterey College of Law, teaching Criminal Law and Procedure since 2010. Since 2012, Berkeley has served on the Board of Directors of the Monterey Law Library. He serves on the Community Corrections Partnership Board, serves on the California District Attorneys’ Association’s Legislation Committee, and is a member of the Rotary Club of Salinas. Berkeley earned his law degree at UC Hastings College of the Law and LLM (Master of Law) at Chapman University.
Manuel (Manny) T. González – was the Assistant County Administrative Officer for Monterey County. Manuel was previously the Executive Director for the City of Phoenix Housing Authority, which managed over 3,800 housing units, 5,200 Section 8 Vouchers and the development of affordable housing. He holds a Master of Public Administration and Bachelors of Social Work from Arizona State University.
Jesus Lopez – is a legal assistant with the Law Offices of Santos Gomez. He is a board member with San Pablo de Colores, a board member with Chamacos and serves on the board of Union de Campesinos.
Sabino Lopez – is the Executive Deputy Director and Lead Trainer for the Center for Community Advocacy (CCA). He has provided leadership for more than 40 years to promote affordable housing for farm worker families in Monterey County.
