CHMI: Chispa Housing Management, Inc. , the for-profit property management subsidiary of CHISPA. CHMI management and staff ensure that high-quality property management services are provided at the rental properties developed by CHISPA.
CCRB: Central Coast Residential Builders, Inc., the licensed general contracting company that builds some of CHISPA's ownership and rental communities.
CHDO: Community Housing Development Organization, a designation approved by the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). CHDO organizations are eligible for designated funding for very-low and low-income people and must meet specific criteria defined by HCD.

RD: USDA Rural Development. USDA Rural Development provides low-interest rate mortgages for low and very-low income families and provides funding for affordable rental developments serving farm worker and agricultural worker families.

Mutual Self-Help Housing Program: A housing program that provides homeownership opportunities for low and very-low income families with the families participating in the construction of their own homes.
